I missed this article, posted back in June '08. Apparently Jameson has released a new whiskey, Jameson Signature Reserve. As of now it is available at duty free shops in England and Ireland. Eventually it will be available across Europe as well. Another newcomer is Jameson Rarest Vintage Reserve.Here is a forum discussing Jameson Signature Reserve, and another article about the release at the "Moodie Report".

Simply amazing. I'm fairly new to whiskey (~1yr) and was quickly drawn to Jameson. I worked my way up quickly, finding that I enjoy the sherry casks much more. The Gold Reserve is my favorite for "Every Day" & the Vintage is off the charts. I was coming home from Norway & noticed the Signature Reserve. After reading the label, the aging process appeared to be the same as the Gold. Boy was I wrong. I don't have the vocabulary to do it justice, but I'll try. The Signature has more character. It has more presence. It's well rounded, yet still smooth with all the spicy, fruity notes I love about the Gold. If you're in Duty Free, do yourself a favor & pick up a bottle. You won't regret it.
PS- I think the fact that it's so hard to come by, made it more appealing, too. We want what we can't have. :)
I have been looking for this for a while and have yet to see it. I love Jamesons 12 yr and Redbreast 12 yr. I really recomend you give Redbreast a try as well.
I believe that Redbreast is also produced by Jameson and is a Pure Pot Still whiskey (The Irish equivalent of a Scotch single malt).
I hope to do a post on Redbreast 12 yr soon.
